Actually Kevin, I am curious: what evidence did the backers of Expelled give you as "proof" that ID was a viable scientific theory? You surely must have asked what there is to stack up against the multiple lines of evidence that uphold evolution.
Or are you tired of trying to have a dialogue?

Just to add to the above comment: another highly recommended podcast, Are We Alone? from the SETI institute recently had an episode wherein they discussed Nikolai Vavilov, Lysenko's rival under Stalin, an ardent supporter of evolutionary theory who was starved to death by the regime. If you haven't yet read up on this sad tale then I would recommend you do so, it shows what happens when dogma trumps results.

Kevin, we've discussed Lysenko here before and I just wanted to tell you about a very good introduction to him, his theories and his effect on the Russian economy. The most recent edition of the BBC podcast In Our Time (an excellent podcast at all times) this week examines Lysenko and why Stalin preferred his view over the standard Darwinian approach. It's really interested and I highly recommend it. If you're interested in the science and the social effects that is.

Man, Dr Dembski is really having problems these days. In a recent post at Uncommon Descent:
http://www.uncommondescent.com/education/strengths-and-weaknesses-creationism-religion-unconstitutional/
he says:
"Either the NCSE will have to outline the types of evidence that could count against evolutionary theory, or they’ll have to deny flat out that any evidence can count against it."
I guess he forgot that there's a fairly decent list of ways evolution could be falsified at Talk Origins:
http://www.talkorigins.org/indexcc/CA/CA211.html
where the point is also made that all "proofs" that evolution are inadequate would in themselves falsify evolution if true.
Maybe Dr Dembski is a bit busy at the end of the academic year. Anyway, he should do his homework before complaining.

Denyse O'Leary must be very pleased but she is a dualist so she may be of two minds about it.

Will you follow it up with links to canadian review sites critical of expelled, complete with various character attacks against their persons in willful ignorance of any their actual review material?
